The Jim Nixon Single Handed Memorial Trophy

Haven't we all said, "If it wasn't for that #@?!%# crew of mine, things would be different!" Well, in 1978, Tim Rumptz inaugurated a race that may forever silence those skippers. 1978 was the year that saw Lake Shore Sail Club's first Single-Handed Race.

In 1994, the Club's Past Commodores established the Jim Nixon Single Handed Memorial Trophy to be awarded to the overall winner of the annual single-handed race.
